Taking A Bite Out of Chocolate Con
On July 5, 2025, I attended the second annual Chocolate Con at the Sandlot Uptown in Washington, DC. Chocolate Con is a national convention that focuses on uplifting black own businesses. They hosted the Pull Up & Pitch contest with the grand prize of $2,000, panel discussions, live paintings, vendors, sip & paint, a silent disco, and musical performances. I came in the latter half of the day to catch the winner. Congratulations to Folasadé Ogunmokun, the founder and CEO of Unskrypted, a media/news company. CSI and A Different World star Gary Dourdan had a Q&A and a musical performance. I had a great time and can’t wait until next year.
