Black Bone Project Summit Connects
On July 22, 2023, I participated in the Black Bone Project Summit at Sycamore & Oaks in Southeast DC. At this summit, black women entrepreneurs gathered at this amazing venue to network and learn how to fund and profit from their business. This was my first time being in the space where there are only black on businesses. It was absolutely gorgeous. I had the opportunity to speak to a few individuals that will help me take my publication to a whole other level. In addition to this event, we had a chance to hear from the acting DC MPD Police Chief, Pamela A. Smith and our mayor Muriel Bowser. I hope to see more events like these in the near future.
