A Busted Pipe Couldn’t Stop Katsucon
From February 14-17, 2025, Katsucon made its presence known at the Gaylord Convention Center at the National Harbor. Some major obstacles almost put a damper on the anime convention—a piped burst in Artist Alley forcing an early closure on Friday. The clean-up crew took care of it, and operation resumed the next day with extended hours. BlerdCon made its impact with a partnership with the Society of American Foresters and announced that Janelle Monae will be their special guest this March. I attended this year's J Fashion Indie Designer Showcase and I was overjoyed. The display of diversity and style graced the stage and put a genuine smile on my face. I even bought a Dykemints Death Note shirt and a pair of earrings from Plushii Kawaii.
